Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Territory Business Development Manager for our Macon location!

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Territory Outside Sales Representative to drive growth across South Georgia, from Macon to the Florida border. This individual will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, developing existing customer relationships, and expanding market share within the assigned territory.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a proven track record in outside sales and business development. Experience in medical sales, laboratory research sales, pharmaceutical sales, healthcare distribution, or pharmacy-related sales is highly preferred. This role focuses on selling products and solutions to independent, retail, specialty, and institutional pharmacies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory growth strategy to achieve and exceed sales goals.
  • Identify, prospect, and acquire new pharmacy customers throughout the assigned territory.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with existing accounts to maximize revenue and customer retention.
  • Conduct regular in-person sales calls, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Analyze territory performance and market opportunities to create targeted sales plans.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to pharmacy customers by understanding their business needs and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of qualified prospects and accurately document sales activities in CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer service and account support.
  • Monitor competitive activity, industry trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and sales experience.
  • 3+ years of outside sales, territory management, or business development experience.
  • Experience in medical, pharmaceutical, laboratory research, healthcare, pharmacy, or healthcare distribution sales strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to prospect, generate new business, and grow existing accounts.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage a large geographic territory.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales reporting tools.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively throughout the territory.
